A property management company needed a long-term fix for floor settlement after a high-volume water line break eroded the soil beneath the building. We filled the voids, lifted the floor back to level, and stabilized the foundation footing to prevent any future movement.
A high-volume water line had ruptured beneath the building. The escaping water severely eroded the soil under the office floor, leaving large subterranean voids that pulled the floor slab down with them. Without a permanent fix, the settlement would continue and threaten the rest of the structure.
Stratalock drilled a 4-foot grid of 3/8-inch access ports through the affected floor slab and injected high-density structural polymer. The polymer filled the subterranean voids, compacted the weakened subgrade, and lifted the settled floor back to level. To protect the structure long-term, we also performed Deep Soil Injection beneath the exterior foundation footing, stabilizing the foundation and preventing any future settlement of the building.
