A Kansas City pool was settling and losing water through a cracked shell, eroding the soil beneath and threatening the structure. We filled the voids and stabilized the subgrade in a single eight-hour day, keeping the project on schedule for summer.
Stratalock performed soil testing and evaluation to find the source of the settlement. The culprit was a crack in the pool shell that had been leaking water for some time, slowly eroding the soil beneath and opening large subterranean voids under most of the pool's footprint.
Stratalock designed an injection plan using specially formulated geotechnical polymer to target the voids and weak soil beneath the pool. An injection tubing system carried the polymer to the specified target depths, filling the voids and restoring stability beneath the shell. The crew completed the full project in one eight-hour day, clearing the way for the pool contractors to start refinishing the shell immediately and keep the project on schedule for summer.
